Description
On a quiet tree-lined grove, this large 4-star guest house is a 10-minute stroll from York city centre and offers free parking, en suite rooms and bar/lounge facilities.

The main building dates back to the late 1800s and The Groves still has some charming original features, such as a splendid grand staircase and patterned windows.

The bar is open until 23:00 each day. Guests can relax and read the daily newspapers, with a selection of beers and wines available thorughout the day.

Bedrooms are located in either the main building or in 2 separate buildings around the car park. Please note that The Groves does not have a lift.

Important information
When booking more than 3 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply. The Groves is not suitable for Hen/Stag parties.

Breakfast is served from 07:30 until 09:00 (Monday to Friday), or from 08:00 until 10:00 (Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays).

Room Types

Single Room
Featuring a small bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, towels and toiletries, these rooms also have a Freeview TV, a direct dial telephone and free tea and coffee. Rooms are located on the first or second floors, and there is no lift.

Twin Room
One of these rooms is on the ground floor, suitable for disabled guests.

Double Room
Each room offers a Freeview TV, a direct dial telephone and free tea and coffee. No two rooms are the same size, but all have a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, towels and toiletries. Rooms are located on the ground, first, and second floors and also on the ground floor of The Cottage - a separate building.

Family Room
Featuring a Freeview TV, a direct dial telephone and free tea and coffee, these spacious rooms also have a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, towels and toiletries. Rooms are located on the first or second floors of the main building, with no lift.

Triple Room
Located on the ground floor of York House, these rooms each have a big bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, towels and toiletries. Freeview TV, a direct dial telephone and free tea and coffee are also included.

Large Single Room
Featuring a Freeview TV, a direct dial telephone and free tea and coffee, these spacious rooms also have a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, towels and toiletries. Rooms are located on the first or second floors, and there is no lift.

Large Double Room
Each spacious room offers a Freeview TV, a direct dial telephone and free tea and coffee. No two rooms are the same size, but all have a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, towels and toiletries. Rooms are located on the first and second floor of the main building and also on the first floor of York House - a separate building.

Family Room (4 Adults)
Located in the separate York House, these suites have 2 bedrooms, one featuring a single bed and the other double and a single bed. The bathroom has a shower, hairdryer, towels and toiletries and is between the 2 rooms. Each bedroom has a Freeview TV and there is also a telephone and free tea and coffee.

Suite
The luxurious Bootham Suite features a beautiful nickel superking-size bed as well as a leather sofa and a 50-inch flat-screen Freeview TV. The large bathroom has both a shower and bath, and the room also offers elegant Jan Constatine cushions, a fridge, free tea and coffee and both a dressing and breakfast table.
