With a peaceful location in mature grounds, Lisnacurran B&B is located between Belfast and Dublin, just off the A1 dual carriageway, close to a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
Lisnacurran Country House B&B has a quiet, relaxing location, set in attractive, tranquil grounds. Nevertheless, the B&B has a convenient location, with great access to the region’s major roads. The house is just off the A1 dual carriageway between Hillsborough & Dromore and just a few minutes from the main M1 motorway.
There is a comfortable guest lounge with a large TV and DVD player. A library of DVDs, books, board games and magazines are available for guests’ use. There is also a PC and fax machine available, an honesty box is left to cover any costs.
All rooms feature modern comforts and facilities, including Wi-Fi access and a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels.

Guests are encouraged to use the B&B entrance at the side of the house. All guests are given their own key for this entrance, allowing them to come and go as they please, accessing the building at any time.
Ironing facilities are available & free of charge. A clothes washing and drying service is also available, for a small additional charge.
For guests’ comfort, Lisnacurran is strictly non smoking throughout. However, guests are welcome to smoke outside, using the wall-mounted ashtray at the side entrance.
Cots, baby listening devices and high chairs are available on request.
Food & beverage
A full cooked and/or continental breakfast is included in the price and there are several different types of breakfast available. A full breakfast is available between 07:30-09:00. A continental breakfast is available if you are checking-out earlier or later than this. Please advise the B&B of any special dietary requests at your earliest convenience. It is helpful if you can order your breakfast from the menu and provide a specified time for breakfast on the previous evening, if possible.
You can also opt for breakfast in bed, for a small additional charge.

Traditional Ulster Fried Breakfast:
Irish bacon, sausages, soda bread, potato bread, local mushrooms, vine tomatoes, baked beans & local free-range eggs - fried, scrambled, poached or boiled.
American Breakfast:
Toasted bagels with bacon, cream cheese & maple syrup or hot griddle pancakes with bacon & maple syrup.
Irish Breakfast:
Hot porridge oats with optional dash of Bushmills whiskey and local Hillsborough Honey
Continental Breakfast:
Granny Gibson’s wheaten bread, fresh brown and/or white bread is available for toasting in the dining room, at your leisure. A selection of marmalades, honey & jams will be served. There is also a variety of cereals, muesli, fresh fruit and yoghurts.
All breakfasts are served with a choice of teas, coffee, creamy hot chocolate and fresh chilled orange juice.
Area information
Lisnacurran Country House is just 5mins’ drive from the famous & historic Georgian village of Hillsborough. Attractions in the village include Hillsborough Forest Park, Hillsborough Fort built in 1630 and Hillsborough Castle, a late 18th century mansion house situated in the heart of Hillsborough. The castle was the seat of the Hill family, who held the title of Marquis of Downshire. In 1922, the government bought the castle from the Hills and it became the home of the Governor of Northern Ireland. From 1972 until today, it has been the official residence of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. Hillsborough Courthouse, which is based in the Square in Hillsborough, is one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in Ireland. Here you will find the local Tourist Information Office.
Lisnacurran Country House is just 10mins’ drive from Lisburn. The Sprucefield shopping centre is 5 minutes away and the Bridgewater Outlet Shopping Park is just a 10minute drive away.
Belfast is only 20 minutes’ drive, while Dublin is only 90mins away.
The great location and good access to the region’s major roads, make the Lisnacurran Country House a good base from which to explore the rest of the province.

Double Room (Room 2)
Bedroom 2 has been beautifully decorated in rich shades of green and charcoal. The room has a fabulous feature wall with designer wallpaper by Harlequin. The room has a king-size bed and is furnished with a few extras such as a quirky French-style chair and a full-length mirror. There is a wall-mounted plasma flat-screen TV.
Family Room (Room 1) - Double & Single Beds
This room is furnished with plush bed linen, leather beds and a wall-mounted plasma flat-screen TV. The en-suite bathroom includes a heated towel rail and power shower.
The room has 1 double bed and 1 single bed, with a further pull-out bed available on request.

A double room for single occupancy with a flat-screen TV and luxury bedding and furnishings.

Three-Bedroom Apartment
The recently renovated Barn offers luxury self-catering accommodation with egyptian cotton bed linen & a flat-screen TV in each bedroom. Includes secure car parking and a BBQ area in the grassed garden.

This studio is made of a double room with en-suite wet room and kitchenette.
This spacious bedroom is located beneath the self catering barn and offers guests the facilities to make small snacks in the kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle.
