Food & beverage
The serving of good food and wine is at the heart of Headlam Hall with an emphasis on freshly prepared cuisine using the best local produce. The restaurant is set over three rooms with scope for private dining. The superb Orangery offers a classical elegance with a contemporary touch and opens onto a walled patio for al fresco dining and the charming Panelled room offers an intimate and cosy ambiance. There is also a brasserie cafe in the spa serving informal drinks and snacks with views over the golf course. Area information
The hotel has a whole host of activities you can do on or off-site. The new 2.5 million pound spa at Headlam Hall provides a range of relaxing massages and de-stressing treatments to make you feel like new. Travel information
From the North:
- Leave the A1 at exit 58 (A68 Corbridge).
- Take the A68 west (Bishop Auckland, Corbridge) and go straight on at the roundabout for the A68 (West Auckland).
- Continue for 2.5 miles and turn left at junction onto the B6275.
- Travel a further 2.3 miles to the crossroads and turn right for the B6279 (Staindrop).
- Follow road for 1.6 miles then turn left for Headlam. Travel 0.6 miles to enter Headlam and the hotel is on left after a phone box.
From the South:
- Exit the A1 for the B6275 (Piercebridge).
- Follow the road all the way to Piercebridge and at a T-junction (facing Carlbury Arms) turn left.
- Turn left again onto the A67 and continue for 0.2 miles before turning right for Headlam.
- Follow this road for 2.7 miles then turn right at the junction and continue into Headlam. The hotel is on the right.

The 40 en suite rooms at Headlam Hall have style and character. Located in either the Main Hall, Coach House, Spa or ground floor Mews, all the rooms contrast greatly but are finished to a very high standard and furnished with all the modern amenities guests require.
The rooms in the Main Hall are of a traditional style, as befits a 17th century country hotel. Period furnishings and rich, vibrant fabrics give an elegant feel to the large, spacious rooms.
Bedrooms in the Coach House and Mews are more cottage-like in design with bright, soft country colours and handmade wooden furniture, but still in keeping with the elegant feel of the Main Hall.
The Spa rooms are more contemporary and modern with muted, light colours, soft fabrics and original artworks. Every room is designed to provide guests with maximum comfort and enjoyment.

These rooms have period décor and elegant fabrics and furnishings, including some antique pieces, in keeping with a traditional country manor house. Each has a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary mineral water.
